3-Day Gorillas and Golden Monkey Trekking Safari in Uganda

The 3-day tour is designed for visitors interested in experiencing nature and wildlife at Mgahinga gorilla national park and Bwindi national park in southwestern Uganda. The highlights for the three-day trek are gorilla trekking and golden monkey trekking in Uganda.

Proposed Itinerary:

Day 1: Travel by road from Kigali, Rwanda to Bwindi forest national park

Our representative will pick you up in Kigali and drive to the Bwindi forest via the Kyanika Rwanda-Uganda border. The trip will take about 4-5hours. Overnight at Rishaga, the southern sector of Bwindi national park.

Day 2: Trek the mountain gorillas at Bwindi national park

This will be the highlight of the 3-day gorilla trek. You will visit the gorillas at Bwindi very early in the morning. The trek will take anywhere from a few to many hours.

Day 3: Transfer from Bwindi to Mgahinga gorilla national park

Trek the Golden monkeys and transfer to Kigali afterward We will drive from Bwindi early morning and head to Mgahinga gorilla national park. This is about 2 hours drive. Embark on golden monkey trekking safari. This trip will take you to trek the golden monkeys, an endemic species of Mgahinga Gorilla National Park in southwestern Uganda. The trip will take you through the jungles of Mgahinga National park, consisting of bamboo and a variety of indigenous plants like giant lobelia. Your national park guide will tell you about the national park’s history and the fauna and flora that the park holds during the trips. The trek should take about 5 hours. Drive to Kigali immediately after the trek.
