A Bamboo Ecotours tour guide will meet clients at the lodge or in Kisoro town at 9:00am and travel together to the activity site at the Echuya Forest. The birding excursions will take the full morning and after a short break for lunch (packed lunch recommended), the guests have three options:

  1. Drive back to the lodge after the half-day tour
  2. Extend the birding experience to a full day
  3. Visit a nearby Batwa Village for a cultural experience and learn about the life of the Batwa Indigenous communities. After the Batwa Cultural Tour, the guests and the tour guide will drive back to the lodge.

The Batwa Cultural experience at the Echuya Forest Reserve can also be booked as a separate tour independent of bird watching.

Cost: USD30 per person (Half Day Tour) and USD50 per person for the Full Day Birding Experience. The Batwa Tour is USD30 per person.
