This is the day you will transfer from Entebbe or downtown Kampala to Lake Mburo National Park. A Bamboo Ecotours representative will pick you up in Entebbe or downtown Kampala in the morning (8:00 am or another agreed time) and drive to Lake Mburo National Park. The drive will take about 5hrs to go through western Uganda’s major towns of Masaka and Lyantonde. After arriving at Lake Mburo, you will have an option to join an afternoon boat cruise on Lake Mburo to sight wildlife. Alternatively, do a night game drive. Dinner and overnight at Lake Mburo National Park.

Start the day with an early morning breakfast at your lodge. After breakfast, we will drive through Lake Mburo savannah plains in search of wildlife. On a good day, expect giraffes buffalos, Zebras, topis, and other animals. After the game drives, we continue the journey southwestward to Bwindi National Park. The drive from Lake Mburo to Bwindi National Park is estimated at 5-6hrs. Dinner & overnight at Bwindi National Park.

Today is a special day! The gorilla safari Uganda is famous for. You will head to Bwindi National Park immediately after breakfast to get a briefing about the gorilla trek. The presentation will cover the basics of what to expect during the trek and how to approach the animals for their safety. The national park guide will assign all visitors a gorilla family to track, and after that, your adventure begins. Depending on how far the gorillas are inside the forest, the trek can last from 3 to 8 hours, the average time being between 3 and 5. Venture into the vegetation until you come across these incredible creatures; it is a truly unique experience. After the trek, you will return to the lodge to relax, eat dinner, and enjoy a good night’s sleep.

This will be the last day of the 4-day gorilla trek and Lake Mburo safari adventure.
