Development of sustainable and ecotourism in Kisoro district

Kisoro district lies in the southwestern tip of Uganda. With a population of around 300,000 people, Kisoro is one of Uganda’s most densely populated areas. Agriculture is the main economic activity in the area where most farmers depend on farming for their livelihood.

Kisoro is a top tourist destination in Uganda–the district is home to Mgahinga Gorilla National Park and Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park.
